Rapini is a member of the cruciferous family. Sometimes called italian broccoli. It has a dense slightly bitter flavour that pairs well with garlic or lemon. The entire stalk is edible, as are the leaves and sometimes you will see yellow blossoms. It is often prepared steamed or boiled lightly.
This leafy green is very high in Vitamin C and Folic acid. It also has great levels of Vitamin A & K, calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, and fiber.
