Organic Produce

Circle Health boasts a full market style produce room bursting with beautiful fruits and vegetable sourced from Organic Farms as local as possible.  (right now we have close to 20 different BC grown  fruits and vegetables) Find anything from a BC apple to yellow Peruvian ginger and probably a recipe or two if we have our way.  We love this stuff!

Buy what you like or order our weekly/bi-weekly basket. Check out this week’s bin.

Gluten Free

We have tons of gluten free and wheat alternative products.  Everything you need to make your own recipes, plus a recipe or two if you need them.  Convenient mixes for muffins or pizza. Great options for pastas, crackers, and protein or power bars.  Not to mention all the Organic fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, smoothies, cheeses…..who needs wheat when you’ve got all this.

One of my new favourites is the Kaslo Sourdough Pasta, from right here in beautiful BC.  Not completely wheat free, but the semolina base is fermented like a sourdough.  The natural fermentation breaks down the gluten proteins so it is much easier to digest for those with wheat intolerances or for the rest of us who still like a good pasta now and then.  With many styles to choose from it’s hard to decide which is my favourite: Semonlina Buckwheat, Semonlina Millet, Semolina Quinoa, Semonlina Wholewheat or Classic.

Grow and Eat Local & Organic

“If you feed a man a meal, you only feed him for a day , but if you teach a man to grow food, you feed him for a lifetime.”

- Thich Nhat Hanh

Lin Steedman and Oliver Egan are owners and operators of Edible Acres. Growing organic produce to feed our community gives us great joy. We are a market garden farm and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm, located right at Winderberry in Windermere. CSA is model of farming which supports local growers, local economy and is a more sustainable alternative for growing and distributing food. Edible Acres is the first farm using the CSA model in the Columbia Valley and the only organic producer selling at the Invermere Farmer’s Market. Continue Reading →
